OWN MANUFACTURER
The production line is the heart of what we do and by reviewing the steps involved in making our products, we get a better understanding of possible problems which may arise. By having our own manufacturer, we can estimate the production time and therefore know the exact date our products will be in stock at our warehouses.

Our History

1996

VELTUFF Real Work Clothes

VELTUFF® Real Work Clothes begins under BACA Safety & Workwear Ltd, focused on durable, reliable garments. The elephant logo represents strength, resilience, and long-lasting performance.

2002

Growing in Northampton

As demand grows, we move into new offices and warehouse facilities in Northampton, giving us the space to support more customers and keep operations simple and efficient. Our central UK location just off the M1 sees a natural demand from the logistics sector.

2003

Starting Our Denmark Journey

Jim Calder, Lewis Calder's eldest son, travelled to Denmark with his family to create BACA outside of the UK. It was renamed BACA WORKING DIRECT and began at his Lyngby garage. We begin building stronger connections and bringing VELTUFF workwear to more customers.

2013

Danish Expansion

Growth continues in Denmark with new offices and warehousing in Brøndby. This investment helps us improve service, stay organised, and support increasing demand across the region.

2014

Hello Neighbour

We open a sales office in Stockholm,
strengthening our presence in Scandinavia and building closer relationships with customers across the Swedish market.

2015

Enterprise Clients Grow

Our European tour continues. We expand into the Netherlands and establish our BENELUX team, supporting larger international clients and building strong partnerships across multiple European markets.

2016

Celebrations

We celebrate 50 years of BACA Safety &
Workwear Ltd with teams from across Europe, recognising the people, partnerships, and shared efforts that continue to drive our growth.
The milestone was followed with a rebrand as VELTUFF Real Workwear and removal of the elephant icon.
Big client wins include IKEA and DHL.

2017

More European Offices

We open offices in Germany and France and upgrade our Danish operations with new software and technology, improving efficiency and creating stronger foundations to support customers across Europe.
Big client wins include FedEx and Menzies Aviation.

2019

UK Growth

We expand our Northampton operations with a new warehouse just a short walk down the road from HQ, improving distribution, staying organised, and ensuring we continue to meet growing customer demand.
Big client win includes Culina Group.

2020

Reaching More Customers

We open a shop and showroom in Preston and launch our e-commerce platform, making it easier for teams, individuals, and businesses to access VELTUFF workwear.
Big client wins include Wincanton and GLS.

2025

The Rebrand

VELTUFF moves forward as an independent brand with a refreshed identity. A modern look sets us up for the future while keeping our focus on reliable workwear solutions for enterprise businesses across the world.

30th Anniversary

We celebrate 30 years of VELTUFF, with
